Pozhet and MHAHS VIDEO PROJECT

WE NEED YOU!
Pozhet (Heterosexual HIV Service in NSW) is a service for people living with HIV who primarily identify as heterosexual. MHAHS  (Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service) is a service that works with culturally and linguistically diverse people living with HIV. We are producing a video of people with lived experience of HIV answering questions about their lives. All people who participate in the filming will be reimbursed for their time.

WHY ARE WE MAKING THIS VIDEO?
One barrier to people getting tested for HIV, accessing services and disclosing is the real and perceived stigma and discrimination in the health sector and in the community. This video will help to normalise HIV and to raise awareness about what it means to live with HIV today. We hope to challenge misconceptions the viewer may hold by using personal stories.

WE’D LIKE YOU TO BE INVOLVED
We would like to talk to a diverse group of people living with HIV and their partners about being filmed for the video. The video will be distributed on social media and on the Pozhet and MHAHS web pages.

We are particularly interested to hear from:

  • People living with HIV
  • People with HIV who identify as CALD or Aboriginal
  • Partners and carers of people living with HIV

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I AM INTERESTED?
Express your interest before the 25 July by email to pozhet@pozhet.org.au
We will contact everyone interested to confirm suitability.
The filming is planned to take place in August or September and takes around 4 hours.

Details to include in the email to pozhet@pozhet.org.au
