Hepatitis C treatments to be subsidised

ART Uptake StudyThe Health Minister, Sussan Ley announced at the end of 2015 that ground breaking therapies for Hepatitis C will be listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) on March 1st. This means that people with hepatitis C in Australia will have affordable access to treatments which don’t have the debilitating side affects of existing interferon-based treatments. (more…)

Access to HIV health care in NSW survey

Some of you may be aware that after 1 July 2015, HIV medications will be dispensed from local chemists. Positive Life is keen to hear from people living with HIV about your needs and preferences when accessing HIV health care (GPs, Chemists, S100 prescribers).  You will find the survey by opening the following survey monkey link.

The survey takes about 2 minutes to complete and closes on the 28 February 2015. Responses are confidential and will assist Positive Life in developing information and resources for people living with HIV in NSW. (more…)
