Whether you’re looking for a convenient way to test or know someone who might benefit, MyTest has you covered. With just a few simple steps, you can access up to four HIV self-test kits per month. Start by registering online with your email or mobile number, choose a nearby vending machine, and pick up your kits. The self-testing process is quick and gives results in just 15 minutes.
MyTest is particularly focused on supporting people who have never been tested for HIV or those who infrequently test for HIV, as well as those who face barriers to regular sexual health testing due to health insurance or Medicare ineligibility. MyTest is also especially valuable for those who prefer the privacy of testing at home. It’s a straightforward way to take charge of your health or to encourage others to do the same. Early detection is important, and these kits help make regular testing more accessible to everyone.
For those who want some extra support while testing, it’s a good idea to do it Monday through Friday, 9.00 to 5.30pm, when nurses are available through the Sexual Health Infolink: shil.nsw.gov.au/
