Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) is a public and visible voice who advocates of behalf of the positive heterosexual population at various forums and in policy where appropriate, to ensure our concerns and issues are being addressed.
Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) clients are welcome to nominate themselves to become part of a Pozhet Consumer Reference Group. This Consumer Reference Group gives HHAS clients an opportunity to advise Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) on the service and to become involved in the work Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) undertakes. The Reference Group will be established at the commencement of 2009. If you are interested in being part or would like more information, please contact Kate on 1800 812 404 (freecall) or email.
There are a number of forums where having a positive speaker or positive peer is valuable. These forums may include workshops with service providers, other Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) clients or in the media. By being a speaker, you will be supported in these forums by HHAS and are in control of how much you disclose to others. You are always able to decline offers to speak.
We like to give our Client’s the opportunity to have their story heard by writing an article for the Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) quarterly newsletter and other services newsletters, such as Positive Life NSW’s Talkabout, SWOP’s The Professional or other relevant publications. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity or would like more information, please contact Kate on 1800 812 404 or email.
